ABOUT ME

Amely Villojan (owner of Wooden It Be So Nice) --- It all started in 1998.  I'm still a struggling college student then when the idea of having my own craft store came to mind.  I always had the urge to create beautiful objects out of "garbage".  In school, I used to collect used papers, including worksheets.  I bring the papers at home, recycle those and produce hand-made stationeries and special papers.

Being both business-minded (I took up Accounting in college, thus, the worksheets) and creative  (I thank GOD for the blessing), I started my first business venture: COUNTRY CRAFT.   It's a small craft store, which was located at my home in Novaliches.   With that I continued creating hand-made stationeries and special papers and started making flower topiaries in pots out of mango branches and flower decors in woods.

In 2003, with the encouragement and help of a few friends, I ventured into making customized invitations (for weddings and all other special occasions) and giveaways/ souvenirs and lately, into flower arrangements.  My customers (it all started with family and friends) would usually comment on how unique my creations are.   They would say, "oh, how nice and unique naman your work".   By then, I've come to realize that my store's name doesn't reflect my products.

"Country Craft" sounds so simple and too familiar.    I wanted a name that's nice and unique (the way my creations are), so I changed my store's name into "WOODEN IT BE SO NICE" (wooden- from my products made of wood and nice- from customers' comments that my products are nice).
